Greenbaum partner Barbara J. Koonz, who leads the firm’s Energy & Renewable Resources practice, will moderate a live webinar on “AI Data Centers at Scale: Environmental Constraints, Regulatory Frameworks, and Integration with Next Generation Energy Technologies” on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 12:00pm – 1:00pm.
The presentation will be hosted on Zoom by the Educational Committee of the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL), in which Barbara is a Fellow. She will be joined by ACOEL Fellow Prof. Hari M. Osofsky and Laura Smith Morton, Esq., a partner at Perkins Coie, for an informative discussion of powering AI, integrations of emerging technologies into energy systems and frontiers in space-based energy. The webinar will also address evolving AI and data center regulation and will present real life case studies involving the regulatory frameworks of permitting and development of data center projects including the environmental review process, community engagement, permitting and development.
