4.08.26

Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP is pleased to announce that Barbara J. Koonz has been selected for inclusion in The Lawdragon 2026 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know guide.

According to Lawdragon, the guide recognizes “the most admired figures in law firm leadership globally” who “are impassioned, inclusive and represent a new era of what it looks like to lead a law firm.”

Barbara is the only managing partner from a New Jersey law firm recognized in this year’s guide. She was elected to serve as the fourth managing partner in Greenbaum’s 100-plus year history in April 2025.

Focused on the representation of clients in environmental and energy matters, Barbara joined Greenbaum’s practice in 2019.  As the leader of the firm’s Energy & Renewable Resources practice, she represents project owners, developers, and investors in traditional energy, renewable energy, and battery storage projects in connection with issues related to permitting, development, interconnection, and state and federal incentives, as well as providing regulatory compliance guidance and support in enforcement actions.

Barbara is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Environmental Lawyers. She serves on the Board of Trustees of NAIOP New Jersey and as a member (and past co-chair) of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Corporate Sustainability, Cleantech, and Climate Change Special Committee and the New Jersey Builders Association’s Environmental Affairs Committee.
