Chairing the firm’s Construction Contracting & Risk Management practice, Steve navigates all aspects of construction project lifecycles, from advising on project delivery systems to negotiating and drafting complex construction contracts, including contract administration. His work proactively manages risk and protects the interests of a diverse portfolio of clients, including owners, developers, design professionals, contractors, and condominium associations. He also provides effective advocacy in state and federal court disputes and local or international mediations and arbitrations, with expertise in matters including construction and design defects, professional malpractice, lien claims, and regulatory violations.

A significant portion of Joe’s practice is dedicated to the construction and real estate sectors. He represents clients in complex construction litigation, managing disputes related to payment, scope of work, defective design, and project delays or wrongful terminations. He draws upon his construction litigation experience to protect his clients’ interests during the project planning phase by negotiating and drafting construction-related contracts, offering comprehensive counsel that addresses both the immediate and long-term legal needs of his clients.
