The Gender Equity Project: Removing Barriers for Women in the Law

Greenbaum attorney Jemi Goulian Lucey will serve as a panelist for the session “The Gender Equity Project: Removing Barriers for Women in the Law” at the New Jersey State Bar Association’s 2026 Annual Meeting and Convention. The program is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 3:15pm - 4:45pm at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa in Atlantic City.

This program will examine the ongoing barriers women attorneys face in advancement, compensation, and career satisfaction across all sectors of the legal profession in New Jersey, which contribute to attrition from the field. It will also explore findings from the Gender Equity Project’s Gender Equity Study: New Jersey Women in Law and discusses practical strategies to improve retention and advance equity in the profession.

Jemi is a co-chair of the firm’s Employment Law practice. She is an experienced trial attorney and legal counselor who focuses her practice on employment law, complex commercial and business litigation, and higher education law, in state and federal courts. She represents private and public sector clients, including employers, colleges and universities, and business entities engaged in a broad range of industries. A strong advocate for women in the legal profession, she is a past President of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association.
