Child Custody

When navigating the challenging terrain of family law, few issues are as emotionally charged and critically important as child custody. We are dedicated to guiding our clients through the complexities of child custody matters in New Jersey. Our services include a wide range of child custody issues, from establishment of an initial custody determination to enforcement and modification of existing child custody orders. Our lawyers assist parents in determining appropriate legal and physical custodial arrangements, which can include sole custody, joint custody, or a more complex shared parenting plan, depending on the individual circumstances of each family.

We also represent clients in the enforcement of custody orders against non-compliant parents, including taking legal action through the courts and, if necessary, seeking sanctions against a non-compliant parent.

When circumstances change after a custody order is entered, for reasons including the relocation of a parent or another subsequent change that arguably renders the existing order no longer in the child’s best interests, we represent clients in the filing or defense of modification applications involving the impact the change of circumstances has on the child’s best interests.

Finally, in certain circumstances New Jersey law allows grandparents to seek visitation rights. We represent individuals seeking to establish or defend against such requests, always with the child's best interests as the guiding principle.
