Katie provides sophisticated support to the firm's representation of clients, including small to mid-sized businesses and public entities, in state and federal court litigation and business transactions.
As a litigator, Katie has growing experience in a variety of practice areas.Her employment litigation work includes defending public entities against discrimination, harassment and whistleblower claims brought under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD) and the Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA). In the area of real estate litigation, she assists in the defense of claims brought against condominium properties, and in landlord & tenant disputes including claims under New Jersey’s Consumer Fraud Act. She supports the firm’s representation of business owners in commercial matters involving copyright infringement, shareholder oppression, and breach of contract and/or fiduciary duty claims. She is also gaining valuable experience in the area of white collar criminal defense, including federal sentencing matters and internal criminal investigations.
Katie’s work related to corporate trademark matters encompasses filing trademark applications and registrations, assisting with trademark enforcement, and brand protection issues. This includes conducting trademark searches, preparing trademark opinion letters, filing U.S. trademark applications and renewals with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), assisting in the transfer of ownership of intellectual property, and responding to office action letters.
A former Greenbaum summer associate, Katie also gained experience as a legal intern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Newark, as a summer law clerk at the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, and as a Major Crimes intern at the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

As an associate, Katie provides essential support in the firm’s representation of clients in numerous matters, including the following:
Representing the State of New Jersey, Department of Military and Veterans’ Affairs in multiple investigations and civil litigation arising from hundreds of COVID-related veteran deaths at state-operated long-term care facilities. This engagement also includes representation in the defense of dozens of employees who contracted COVID, as well as the defense of alleged civil rights violations in connection with the deaths of residents in these facilities, with claims totaling more than $69 million.
The firm was a member of a unified four-firm team defending a physician shareholder and corporate officer of a neurology practice in $1.1 million creditor litigation alleging breach of contract and fraudulent conveyance against the practice and four individual physicians. The team secured dismissal without prejudice of all claims against the individual physicians; litigation remains ongoing against the practice, with continued efforts to reassert claims against the physicians.
Secured summary judgment for a state law enforcement agency in a CEPA whistleblower action following extensive discovery, based on the plaintiff’s failure to meet the statutory burden, eliminating exposure exceeding $1 million.
The firm represented Dun & Bradstreet in a contract and collections dispute arising from a customer’s alleged data-usage overages and related counterclaims, successfully defeating disqualification and dismissal efforts and securing a favorable settlement following the customer’s acquisition.

While attending Rutgers Law, Katie was a Dean's List student. Her activities included serving as a teaching associate in legal writing skills, as well as participation in the Intellectual Property Law Clinic (Senior Clinical Law Student), the Journal of International Law & Human Rights (Associate Managing Editor), the Women's Law Forum (Treasurer), the Intellectual Property Law Society (3L Representative), and the Criminal Law Society.
