Katie provides sophisticated support to the firm's representation of clients, including small to mid-sized businesses and public entities, in litigation and corporate transactions.

As a litigator, Katie has growing experience in a variety of practice areas. Her employment litigation work includes defending public entities against discrimination, harassment and whistleblower claims brought under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD) and the Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA). In the area of real estate litigation, she assists in the defense of claims brought against condominium properties, and in landlord & tenant disputes including claims under New Jersey’s Consumer Fraud Act. She supports the firm’s representation of business owners in commercial matters involving copyright infringement, shareholder oppression, and breach of contract and/or fiduciary duty claims. She is also gaining valuable experience in the area of white collar criminal defense, including federal sentencing matters and internal criminal investigations.

Katie’s work related to corporate trademark matters encompasses filing trademark applications and registrations, assisting with trademark enforcement, and brand protection issues. This includes conducting trademark searches, preparing trademark opinion letters, filing U.S. trademark applications and renewals with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), assisting in the transfer of ownership of intellectual property, and responding to office action letters.
